Print Department Floor Plans for Reference

Required Action

Background Information

The Office of Facilities Management and Construction maintains the record file drawings for all UNT physical facilities. We employ AutoCAD software to create and maintain these files. Our FIMS system automatically analyzes the floor plans to generate the square footage data for our database, as well as the room numbers, and it also utilizes the AutoCAD software to graphically display colors for departments and hatching symbols for Room Type.

If at any time of the year you notice errors on our floor plans, please report your findings to the FIMS staff. We will then schedule a field verification visit to gather the necessary information for the updating of our floor plan. Those field verified measurements will be used to update our AutoCAD drawings, thereby updating the spatial data in the inventory database.

NOTE: You will need to have the Autodesk Design Review viewer installed on your desktop before you can view floor plans in FM:Interact. Requirements details are on the FM Interact homepage. Contact your computer support staff for the installation of this viewer.
